At the end of the Quatre Montagnes cluse, on the edge of the Hauts Plateaux du Vercors nature reserve and the Nordic site, here is a delicious address. Located two kilometers from the center of the village, the former family farm which has become a 22-room hotel is set in a dream setting where all is calm and comfort. As for its owners, Sandra Sauvajon and her brother Richard, they perpetuate a sense of warm and generous welcome inherited from their great-grandparents who, in their time, offered snacks to passing loggers. And what about their starred restaurant Le Palégrié, led by Guillaume Monjuré, enthusiastic and talented chef, and his partner, Chrystel, a sparkling sommelier. A discreet nugget at the foot of the slopes and the golf course.

For those who like the heart of the village atmosphere, this three-star hotel offers the advantage of being central and the ski slopes are six minutes away. An ideal establishment for discovering the joys of skiing with family or friends, with sixteen rooms with resolutely mountain decor, two restaurants, a spa and a heated outdoor swimming pool.

Opened in 1894, recognizable by its appearance of a large Savoyard house surrounded by 3 hectares of greenery, this three-star has written a few pages in the history of Villard-de-Lans and Vercors. The Grand Siècle decor, frequented in its time by the Aga Khan and Albert Lebrun then President of the Republic, now affiliated with Best Western, accommodates 45 rooms and a 400 m2 spa area (treatments and massages currently possible), very valuable to recover from a day of skiing. The slopes are accessible in 15 minutes thanks to the free shuttles that stop in front of the hotel. As for the table, a traditional restaurant offers quality, authentic and generous cuisine where the chef revisits traditional dishes.

Here, no frills, only skiing. The large traditional chalet that houses this three-star establishment offers cozy comfort that will be appreciated by all those who have walked the forest tracks on skis and crossed the vast plateaus on snowshoes. Its eighteen rooms with balconies open onto a typical Vercors landscape where the Grande Moucherolle are aligned (second highest peak in the Vercors with 2,284 meters, Editor’s note), the cliffs overlooking the Fauge valley and the Cornafion plateau. As for the restaurant, it offers local products: ravioli in all sauces, salmon trout from Vercors, blue from Vercors, walnuts, organic honey … And for those who are already dreaming of sunny days, La Roseraie will offer, from the 1stis May, a brand new outdoor balneotherapy pool with massaging jets that will bring even the most exhausted of hikers back to their feet.

Perched at 1000 meters, Autrans, whose fate has been linked to that of Méaudre since 2016, is a town known for having hosted, during the 1968 Olympic Games, cross-country skiing, biathlon, jumping, Nordic combined events. It is also here that every winter, since 1979, takes place the White Stride, a cross-country ski race that attracts more than 5,000 participants of all levels. In this Nordic Mecca, Caroline and Philippe have transformed a village house into three cozy independent guest rooms with common living areas. The first slopes are less than 50 meters away and Pont-en-Royans, in the Drôme part of Vercors, 45 minutes away via the impressive gorges of the Bourne river. A vertiginous route typical of the region which leads to the famous colorful houses suspended above the river.
